The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) embarked on a Nationwide Indefinite Strike few weeks ago because of some poor academic infrastructural reasons. This entails that all the Universities in Nigeria under the control of Nigerian government have suspended work till further notice.

The members of the above union, ASUU, have engaged in several meetings in order to rectify the whole issue. Despite all the meetings, the strike is still ongoing.
In today’s update, all the members of ASUU and all the Nigerian Universities (under government) Students are hereby notified that the INDEFINITE ASUU STRIKE is still ongoing.
It is true that during this period of strike, Students will miss many lectures, examinations and many other school activities, but there is a tendency that the issues which lingered the strike will be resolved soon.
The students are therefore advised to engage themselves with home studies in order to meet up with the lectures they are missing already.
Machinep gathers through the National President of ASUU, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi that all advancements made by ASUU to the Federal government in order to meet up with their demands were all in vain as there is no form of favorable consideration yet.

However, some Nigerian University Students have planned to organize protest to show how disturbed and frustrating the are while they pray for a favorable outcome.
The students have also pleaded with the Federal Government through air to put their worries into consideration and to meet up with the demands of the Union, ASUU.
Students in Abeokuta, Ogun State, have made a peaceful protest on Monday because of the ASUU Strike while pleading with the Federal government to do to something to call it off.
The National Public Relations Officer, Azeez Adeyemi, condemned Buhari’s Administration while reiterating on the poor Educational Facilities in Nigeria. In his statement, he noted that the Federal government has not considered to improve the condition of Nigerian Universities.

Opening the flower more, Buhari will fail mercilessly in the upcoming 2019 Election if he refuses to do something about the strike from now till the end of the year.

Moreover, meetings will still be going on subsequently by Federal government and the Union, ASUU.
